VICE PRESIDENT, CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

 SUMMARY OF POSITION:           

Sets the financial policy and directs the fiscal functions of the organization.  Broad management responsibilities including managing the administrative departments of the organization including Accounting, Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology.  As a member of Senior Leadership, this position plays a central role in developing and executing the strategic plan for the organization.

Duties:

  1. Responsible for the organization’s fiscal function and performance. 

  2. Direct the preparation of monthly, periodic and ad hoc financial reports including monthly financials, budgets and other analyses for management; presents recommendations for changes and/or improvements as needed.

  3. Assess needs, establish short and long-term goals, propose program plans and implement the procedures to carry out companywide initiatives.

  4. Partner with other executive level management to develop and accomplish the strategic vision for the organization; listen to and decipher needs; recommend, develop and implement new business initiatives to help achieve financial objectives. 

  5. Instill a culture of accountability and high performance.

  6. Lead administration planning and execution; participates in development of annual budget and manages resources within budget guidelines; monitor regulatory environment and ensure company is operating to meet required standards.

  7. Contributes ideas and research on strategies to help NHRA achieve growth and market expansion goals.

  8. Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the organization may enter.

  9. Work closely with our nationwide partner tracks on all contractual issues.

  10. Travel to some national events, as business demands.

Qualifications:

10-15 years senior/executive managerial experience, with a focus on strategic planning and operations and fiscal management.

BS/BA degree is required (concentration in Management, Accounting or Finance).  MBA and/or CPA highly preferred.
